Today we did lots of things.
First were chores. Dave climbed up on the roof to clean it and prepare it for a protective treatment tomorrow:
I know. That photo was too dramatic and exciting for its pants. Sometimes we have to post photos even if the might offend the squeamish.
While David was up on the roof, Kathy was polishing everything chrome she could find. Most of it was on Great White. She polished the mirrors, the fenders and the wheels. Here's a sample of her handiwork:
Don't worry. The photos get even better after this.
We took time out before heading out on adventures to wander over and inspect the little community garden that some full-time RV residents are tending in the campground. It was quite impressive, and this little patch of land had still more room for additional plants and vegetables if the gardeners wish.
Now it was off to the adventures. Our first stop was the National Border Patrol Museum, which is a privately funded and managed museum dedicated to the men and women who are members of our border patrol. The museum focuses on those individuals, gives honor to those who died in the line of duty, explains their tools and technology, and offers statistics about the work these people do on the borders we have with Mexico and Canada.
It's not a large museum, but well organized, with vehicles and tools arrayed on one end.
Dave couldn't resist taking a ride in one of the Border Patrol copters.
He even put on his best Border Patrol game face in case any illegal immigrants were lurking about. Didn't spot any though.
