Camp Sharktooth - Wells, Maine - The Waterslide Edition

Friday, July 16, 2021 was all about the waterslide!

We drove half an hour north to Saco, Maine to try out the Splashtown water park.  It did not disappoint.

We started our wet adventure doing The Tornado!  It slid us into a huge whirlpool drain that spun us around and sucked us in!

Then William said he wanted to try Triton's Twist, the second-most scary slide in the park.  To start, you step into a tube.  The attendant closes the door around you.  A speaker intones, "THREE... TWO... ONE..." and the floor falls out from under you!  You free-fall into an enclosed tube and swirl and twirl around and down to the splashdown pool!

After this, William decided he wanted to ride every waterslide in the park.  There were many, as well as an AquaPlay Park.  He slid every one except the scariest one, Poseidon's Plunge, which NaiNai and YeYe said he was too young for this year.

Rats.

We took time out for a little lunch --

-- and then it was back to William's serious work.  We exhausted ourselves.   By the late afternoon, we were driving back to our campground, exhausted but cool and excited by all the wet, wild and wonderful adventure!
