Our campground hosts a bunch of local musicians every Wednesday night. They drop by to the campground community center and just jam, playing their favorite bluegrass, country and western songs. There are guitars, bass, banjo, harmonicas, zither, mandolin - and of course their voices. David dubbed them the "Alamogordo Amblers." We enjoyed over two hours of real folk music from them.

This was a very special evening, and reminded us of the many Saturday evenings we spent at the AMC's Mohican Outdoor Center, listening to the local group of musicians as they offered free concerts to those staying at the center.
Tomorrow we leave for Fort Stockton. This was just another reason we'll miss Alamogordo.
