Today was supposed to be rainy and cool as a large cold front moved into the area - except that it didn't happen. We had scheduled the day for miscellaneous chores and errands, and decided to go ahead with those plans, even though the day turned out to be gorgeous - perhaps the fourth or fifth summer-like day in a row here!
We took a long walk around over to St. Mary's River and looked at some houses - old and new - along the banks. When we got back, we completed trip planning for tomorrow's move to Disney World. By the time we got around to breakfast, it was brunch. Afterward, we headed out to go grocery shopping and pick up various hardware we need. Baxter got a long walk outside, which he loved.
By the time we were done with chores it was about 3:30, and we walked next door to Jack's Famous BarBQ. We don't know whether it's that famous, but we can attest that the ribs were some of the best we've had.
Here's a photo of Kathy chowing down on the porch at Jack's Famous BarBQ:
Kathy took a taste, and before David could do so, she said, "These ribs are better than Famous Dave's!" David didn't believe it, and retorted, "When Pigs Fly!"
So there you have it. Best ribs. Ever. Anywhere.
We topped off the day by going to see "Zero Dark Thirty." How can you possibly choose a Best Motion Picture from among "Zero Dark Thirty," "Lincoln," and "Les Miserables"? They should all share the honor, we say.
