When Eddie and George woke up and started their campground walk today, here at Oak Grove RV Park in Hatfield, PA, they noticed something wrong with the edge of the trailer roof. They decided to go up and get a closer look.
What they found wasn't good. There were two holes in the rubber roof, and some suspicious abrasions on the side of the RV. It turns out, Dave'n'Kathy had an unexpected encounter with the high limb of an overhanging tree as they maneuvered through the campground to their campsite. By the time they heard the "CRUNCH!" it was too late and the damage was done. This is the way it always happens.
Eddie and George volunteered to climb up on the roof and fix the thing. Here they are hard at work:
They took a close look at the damage and wondered whether they were going to be able to fix that crumpled aluminum. Rubber patches are one thing; aluminum patches are another. Here, the boys are thinking hard about what to do next:
"Time to call the RV repair guy, we think," they reported to Dave'n'Kathy. Dave'n'Kathy agreed. A call to make an insurance claim was also made as a precaution, in case this was more expensive than first thought.
Eddie and George asked Dave'n'Kathy to report back once the story is told.
