Scary Pumpkins

Weina and we had a wonderful day today, rambling up to Freddy Hill Farm to harvest our own pumpkins.  We got a hayride, ate homemade ice cream, and then came home and carved these scary creatures.  Weina's classic Jack O'Lantern is in the middle.  Kathy's alien is on the right.  And David's African Frankenstein is on the left.

  1. Ahhh... that's what I really miss about this time of the year Stateside. I'm relishing the warm weather we're finally experiencing this weekend, but I do miss those lovely autumn colours; hayrides & punkin patches; really getting into Halloween and the fall rituals (like football and walks in the leaves). Cherish it all!!!

  2. But then, Sis, how about the America's Cup, the Bay to Breakers, lots of soccer, Murray's Bay, Milford Sound, Takapuna Sunday Market, and all that??? So the cup certainly looks half full Down Under from where I sit!
